SaveChinatownYVR is a decade-long grassroots campaign working to resist gentrification in Vancouver’s Chinatown by opposing harmful government policies, real estate development, and gentrifier businesses, while also holding our own communities accountable when they contribute to cultural erasure or displacement. The campaign documents this resistance to ensure future generations know that Chinatown actively fought gentrification in order to survive.

SaveChinatownYVR’s campaigns include opposing Beedie’s gentrifying condo development at 105 Keefer Street / 570 Columbia Street, advocating for the reopening of the Chinatown Post Office, and other community-led actions.
